Bashir Yuguda, Deputy Minister of Minister Finance Resumes, Promises Hard Work

The Minister of State for Finance, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda today officially resume duty at the ministry with a promise to continue the good works of the minister of Finance and coordinating Minister of the economy, Dr. Ngozi okonjo–Iweala.

He said he is a team player having served as Minister of State for works and the supervising minister iat the National Planning ministry.

”We are here to ensure that President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation Agenda succeeds”.

Ambassador Bashir Yuguda who until now is the Supervising Minister at the National planning was last week redeployed among other Ministers newly redeployed or appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan.

His deployment to the Ministry of Finance as Minister of State will help boost the strong management of the Ministry, especially that aspect of the Federation Accounts Allocation committee which has witnessed several controversies

Speaking on what he hopes to contribute to broker peace between the ministry and the various State Commissioners on revenue sharing, the Minister said that the sharing formula of federal resources will be degree to strictly in line with the nation’s constitution.

On whether he will support the removal of Petroleum subsidy being conversed by state commissioners, the Minister explained that he has nothing to say now especially when the matter is still a subject of debate at the Federal level.
